Male-Contrived

Sus,—With reference to Mr. Randolph Churchill's article in last week's issue and his criticism of the 'crop of literary lionesses who are assaulting by novel and article the male conclave of complacency,' has it occurred to him that the 'very real war' going on in 'Vietnam is male-contrived? That, in fact, most of the evils of the world—wars, robberies, murders, sharp practices and vice--are perpetrated by man?

It is 'squalid and grotesque' and time, perhaps, the female took over to a greater extent than she is at present allowed, in order that some sanity may be brought to bear on the trend dictated by hi S sex.

I suggest Mr. Randolph Churchill comes down from his man-made citadel and ceases to think of himself and his ilk as superior beings. With sufficient effort he might eventually raise his limited outlook to the sensitive awareness that women by nature possess. If he and his compatriots curbed their out- dated conception of the female of the species, future man-imposed atrocities, Watorloos, first and Second world wars and other real tragedies might be avoided.
