THE Queen has bad little company at the Palace this week. Among the few honoured with dinner invitations, were the Earl and Counteet of Carlisle, the Duke and Dutchess of Sutherland, Mr. William and Lady Caroline Lascelles, and Sir GeorgeeVilliers.
Her Majesty has taken several rides in the Parks, in an opera barouche and four grays, and on horseback. The companions of the Royal rides have been the Dutchess of Kent, Baroness Lehzen, Lord Alfred Paget, and other gentlemen and ladies of the Household.
The Queen went to the Italian Opera on Tuesday.
There is to be a grand entertainment at the Palace on Friday neat, in honour of the Dutchess of Kent's birthday. The Queen, it is ex- pected, will soon after that day take her departure for Windsor; to remain there till the beginning of November, when the Court will remove to Brighton.
