Will 4 Waspe

All has been far from well with Decameran 73, the sex and nudity show, during its previews at the Roundhouse — attended, I'm told, by 95 per cent male audiences, thanks to a general promotion campaign that sought to convey the impression that it made Oh! The official ' opening night,' which was supposed to have been last Monday, has been postponed until next Tuesday while director Peter Coe strives "to bring out the eroticism more fully," which the cynical Waspe interprets as a euphemistic way of saying" make it dirtier.".

Hearsay reports from shrewd observers, however, indicate that an extra week's work on the show is unlikely to provide the cure for what ails it as entertainment, and that Coe might do his reputation more good by writing this one off and concentrating on an American occult thriller called Gomes, which he has signed to direct for Bernard Delfont.

The Londoner's concluding suggestion was a general oppea for his lordship to be prevailethotion to continue his association — "perhaps in some specially created post such as President or Chairman Emeritus." Clearly someone is leaving no stone unturned to sabotage that willing retirement.
