A Catalogue of Adversaria and Printed Books, containing MS. notes
preserved in the Library of the Fitzvtilliam Museum. (Cambridge University Press.)—The Fitzwilliam Museum seems to be rich in this class of work, as the catalogue extends over eighty octavo pages. Most of the books are annotated either by John Taylor, Peter Paul Dobree, or Godfrey Herman—the description of the classics being due to Mr. Churchill Babington, of St. John's College, and of the residue to'Mr. Luard, the editor of the Catalogue. It is unnecessary to point out the im- portance to scholars of a book which gives them complete information as to what the library contains in a critical point of view. We share the hope expressed by the editor that other libraries will follow this; example.
