Underclothes

Sir: I note that Jaspistos (28 January) relished R. Reymond's washing lines. Perhaps your readers would like the quat- rain in full: Daily she came from Bromley to the City, Pink underclothes of crepe de Chine she wore, So that she viewed in each back-yard with pity The short and simple flannels of the poor.

Provenance? The Weekly Review, succes- sor to GK's Weekly which I read in my teens pre-war. My father subscribed to it.
