Sir: I was interested in Simon Jenkins's arti- cle in

the 21 January issue. However, I would like to point out that he implied that The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (Wimbledon) did not admit women. This is not correct. Happily we are a mixed club with men and women members and with men and women on the committee. Maybe you would correct this misunder- standing.
