Though a reader of The Spectator for over 30 years, I shall certainly be a last- ing enemy if there are any more disgusting (no, I don't live in Tunbridge Wells) pic- tures like the one underlined 'Special rela- tionship' on your 'portrait' page (4 Novem- ber).

It is offensive, both regarding the PM (of whom I'm no strong supporter politically) and (though the picture bears no resem- blance) President Chirac.
