PILGRIM FATHERS' MEMORIAL AT SOUTHAMPTON. [To THE EDITOR Olt TER

"Spec?Arm"] SIB,—Some time ago you were good enough to insert in the Spectator a note respecting the proposed Pilgrim Fathers' Memorial at Southampton. A considerable stun of money has now been rais3d, and in view of the early closing of the fund and the subsequent commencement of the memorial it is intended to hold a conference of subscribers and others at Southampton on "Pilgrims' Day," August 15th.

There will be a public luncheon at 1.30, at which the Mayor of Southampton will preside, and this will be followed by a meeting on the site of the projected monument. Addresses will be delivered by Dr. Benjamin Rand, of Harvard, Dr. S. G. Smith, of Minneapolis, Dr. J. W. Lee, of St. Louis, and others.
