Sir: Paul Johnson is quite right about the desirability of editors being thrashed by their victims (And another thing, 26 Febru- ary); I can only assume that it is Mr Major's forgiving disposition which has saved you from the just reward of publishing John- son's rebarbative and increasingly barmy outbursts.
