SIR,—I must apologise for an inaccuracy in ' my review of Christopher Burney's Solitary Confine- ment. I stated that one of Christopher Burney's colleagues was his sister and that she was killed by Allied bombing in Caen. It is true that the colleague to whom he was writing at the time of his arrest was subsequently killed in Caen by Allied bombing, but she was not his sister.—Yours faithfully,
