SIR,—When " Vigilantius " objects to your phrase " the horrible faith" of the Recordite, he is, of course, unaware that the epithet "horrible" is Calvin's own,—" Decretum quidem horribile fateor," Inst., lib. iii., c. 23, s. 7.
The " representative men " whom " Vigilantius " challenges " to disprove the Calvinistic sense of the Articles historically " will probably refer him to Archbishop Laurence's Bampton Lectures, third edition, 1888.—I am, Sir, &c.,
