It is said that PASKEWITCH is recalled from the command
of the Russian army in Poland, and that a less oppressive policy is in future to be adopted for the government of that country. The French claim the merit of having obtained an assurance to this effect from the Autocrat. It is easy to make a promise; but we should be inclined to think that the real cause of the removal of PASKEWITCH might be, the occasion which his Master is likely to have for the exercise of his undoubted military talents in Turkey.
