THE ARMS OF CORNWALL.

I wonder whether you would kindly insert this letter in the Spectator, as perhaps one of your readers would be able to help me. My sister, who lives in Australia, has written and asked me if I could find out the origin of the Arms of Cornwall,

i.e., St. John the Baptist's Head on a charger. She has no books of reference out there and thought I should be able to give her the information, but although I have searched, I cannot find anything in regard to the matter. I should be so grateful if someone could give me particulars about this.— (Miss) URSULA M. TABRAHAM, 3 McWhirter House, Abbey Road Mansions, St. John's Wood, N.W.8.
