The revelation that the now notorious incident at the Edinburgh Festival drama conference, when a nude woman was wheeled across a gal- lery, was arranged, not only for BBC television, but for Monitor itself is. capped only by the further revelation that Monitor's cameras then missed her appearance. Monitor's motives have yet to be explained—they presumably have some relation to public-service broadcasting.
