THE 151 respondents were drawn from the City, business and industry, the trade unions, press and television, the universities, the law, medicine, the arts, the Civil Service and the Houses of Parliament. For this Poll only, the clergy were excluded. Field work was carried out by the Harris Research Centre between 19 and 28 November. _
