Shares for none
IT IS a sad sign of such times that a respected City editor has told his staff that he proposes to forbid them to own any shares directly, and to extend the ban to their wives and children. He could and should have reminded them that they, too, hold their information on behalf of their employer — with all that follows from that. But next, I suppose, in view of the state of the roads and to avoid any accidents which may lead to misunderstandings, the motor- ing correspondent will be made to travel by train.
