Forty - five Years of Sport. By J. H. Corballis. Edited by
Arthur T. Fisher. (Bentley and Son.)—The six parts of Mr. Corballis's work are respectively devoted to " Hunting," " Shooting," " Deer- Stalking," " Salmon and Trout Fishing," "Practical Falconry," and " Golf." He always aims at being practical. Of course there are personal anecdotes; but he is careful to improve every oppor- tunity by giving useful advice. We do not profess to be experts on such matters, but the chapter on horses seems especially full of valuable help ; how they are to be trained, cured, treated when ill or lame, are questions that are fully discussed. We can com- mend the book to readers whom its various subjects may interest, as something much more valuable than an ordinary collection of sporting reminiscences.
