Toeing a stricter line
In all this, it will be interesting (and possibly
fruitful) to study carefully answers to the eight questions Mr Ernle Money (who defeated Sir Dingle Foot at the general elec- tion and now represents Ipswich in the Conservative cause) has tabled and which rise out of the Comptroller and Aitditor- General's report. What Mr Money wants to know—he is secretary of the Tory Arts and Amenities committee in the House—and what I would like to know as well, is whether before Mrs Thatcher and Lord Eccles agree '1 thought Rupert Murdoch was to save LWT from going bust' to the next Arts Council grant-in-aid, they will have satisfied themselves that in future the Arts Council will toe a stricter financial line itself, and at the same time ensure that its many clients do likewise.
