THEATRES AND MUSIC.
The reappearance of Mr. James Wallack, at the Haymarket Theatre, was chiefly interesting as an indication of that attachment to an old fa- vourite which distinguishes the English from the Continental public. A severe indisposition had for some time kept Mr. Wallack from the stage, and the theatrical habitues mustered strong so see how he would acquit himself. The hearty welcome with which he was received gave him a good start; and he played Din Cesar de Buzau with so much spirit and hilarity that he must have surpassed expectation. In a certain easy gal- lant bearing, Mr. Wallack, even at this advanced period of his career, is still without a rival.
