Satire
Sir: In 'The theft of character' (15 June) Paul Johnson complains that living people are often depicted, without permission, by actors or puppets. This opens the way for misrepresentation.
So over the next few weeks we will be sending letters to 3,000 celebrities, offering them the chance to design their own puppet and, as Mr Johnson suggests, write their own amusing lines. There is no question but that our ratings will surge as a result.
