Mr. James Pope-Hennessy having relinquished the literary editor- ship of

the Spectator in order to devote himself entirely to writing, Mr. Derek Hudson has been appointed Literary Editor as from May r6th. Mr. Hudson, who has been for many years on the staff of The Times, is the author of works on Thomas Barnes, Martin Tupper and many others.
