Sam Ntiro
I am, I fear, a member of that most despised circle of art amateurs who just 'know what they like.' But at least I can go to Mr. Ntiro's exhibi- tion next week at the Piccadilly Gallery with high hopes. I start by liking Mr. Ntiro, who was, of course, Tanganyika's High Commissioner in Lon- don. Then I like what I have seen of his work. Trained at the Slade, he is one of the most sensi- tive observers of the African scene—and I like Africa. I only hope I can afford his prices.
