Cyclists as individuals are evidently a good' deal more sensible
than the officials of the organisations which purport to represent them. After all the protests against special tracks for cyclists, it appears from the official census that 96 out of every 100 cyclists use the special, track provided for their benefit in Western Avenue. With the controversy settling itself so quickly and satis- factorily, the Minister of Transport is obviously right in deciding that no compulsory use of the tracks need be imposed.
