The Turkish Peace Treaty was signed at Sevres on Tuesday.
All the Allies took part in the ceremony except Serbia, which objects to bearing a part of the Turkish Debt proportionate to the former Turkish territory, which she has acquired. Greece and Italy had compromised their differences in the Aegean by a special protocol. When this Turkish Treaty and the Hungarian Treaty, signed on June 4th, have been ratified, the war will be at an end, so far as the lawyers are concerned. It may be hoped that these ratifications will not be unduly delayed.
