We arc authorized to say that the statement in the

Leeds Intelligeneer, "that Mr. Morrison, the late Member for Ipswich, intends to canvass the electors of Leeds, on the strength of his presumed commercial in- fluence," is totally destitute of foundation, and that that gentleman had never heard of the fabrication till the Intelligeneer containing it was sent to him in London.—Leerfs Mercury, Dec. 14.
