MAPLE'S DIVIDEND.
Having regard to the wide area covered by the trade depression, it was only to be expected that profits of a company such as Maple and Company should have been somewhat affected, and the Report, showing that the final dividend is to be 64 per cent., making 9 per cent. for the year, as com- pared with 124 per cent. for the previous year, was generally regarded as satisfactory. A sum of £3,000 is allotted to the Staff Benevolent Fund, leaving an amount of £26,636 to be carried forward as compared with £33,676 a year ago.
