Die Little Goose. By David Alexander. (Board- man, 10s. 6d.)
A heat-wave in the narrower alleys of New York, where a woman lies shot dead, whose husband has given himself up the day before for having stabbed her to death. Purely a puzzle story, and a very good one, with glimpses of the corner of the city that belongs to gamblers, sporting characters and second-rate hoofers.
