He was present at the taking of Bhurtpore and Gwalior, the battle of Sobraon, and at the campaigns in the North of India. On the 3d January, at Penryn, Bridget Elizabeth, widow of the late Rev. William]. Baker, of Gerrans. Cornwall; in her 91st year.

On the 4th, at Guernsey, Charles Brownrigg, Esq., of the Ceylon Civil Service, second son of the late General. Sir Robert Brownrigg, Bart., G.C.B., of Hilstone House, Monmouthshire ; in his 56th year.
