in your columns last year the writer regretted that Major Hale's work, "How to Tie Salmon-Flies," was quite out of print and scarce. I should be obliged if you will allow me to mention that Major Hale is revising his work, and that it will appear as a serial in the Fishing Gazette, commencing, I hope, on February 14th. Major Hale has received many suggestions from amateur salmon-fly drivers, and is embodying the best of these in his articles. He would be glad to have suggestions from other anglers; which can be sent to my care.—I am, Sir, &c.,
