Sin,—Colin MacInnes's survey of the immigrant population is a good one, except for the prejudice shoWn in its title: The New British.
At least two-thirds of the people covered by his statistics have been British since birth—which is one of the reasons why many of us chose to, and were allowed to, migrate to this rather than to some other country.
