Sir: I suggest that John Learmonth hangs onto his copy of Teach Yourself Practical Concreting and awards another of his books

to a 'suitably boring person' (Letters, 30 April). As a director of Campden Publishing Ltd he is responsible for the annual appear- ance of a book reviewing technological advances in the paint industry: The Coatings Agenda (£140). Most people would rather watch the stuff dry than read about it.
