6d. net.)—Mr. Locke is too famous to need much comment. Hifi novel presents a vital portrait of a financial magnate with' Spectacular qualities. The great man's hardly won wife is perhaps a thought too lofty_ for all tastes, though the story holds the reader's interest throughout.
