Reliable reports from South Africa inform us that the wife

of our Cape Town correspondent Mr. Kenneth Mackenzie (who is herself the Cape Town corre- spondent of the 'Daily Herald') has been arrested under the Emergency Regulations. Mr. Mackenzie, we understand, has so far not been arrested.
