Having developed a management cul- ture which is performance orientated, the Agency now aims to accelerate the development of human resource man- agement at all levels within the organi- sation. The first steps have been taken to initiate a programme towards the attainment of BS5750 with the commit- ment to customer care being an inher- ent part of the Agency's programme of total quality management. As an inte- gral part of this initiative, the Agency has already embarked on a programme of team building which is showing posi- tive results.
As the Human Resource Director, you will be based at the Agency's Cardiff office and report directly to the Chief Executive. Your responsibilities will encompass the development and implementation of policies and proce- dures covering all aspects of human resource management thus creating a strategy to contribute to a corporate plan for the 1990's. The present postholder will be retiring in the spring.
A generalist in human resource man- agement you will have had several years experience of working directly at senior executive level preferably gained within a multi-disciplined and commercial environment. You must be educated to degree level or equivalent and be a member of the IPM.
