Tut cooperation of both town and country members of the Society of Arts, has been solicited for the Evhibition in 1861, by a letter from the Council—observations upon the best mode of representing the industry of the Metropolis or particular locality of each member. together with the experience of his particular employment, and any modification of the pre- viously published resolutions of the Council. The question of the formation of Committees is brought up as a subject matter for remark, and each member is distinctly asked whether there is any particular class of industry among the thirty classes upon which he would like to serve in purely deliberative functions until the Commissioners of 1851 reply to the application of the Council.
