The late Sir J. G. Bourinot's compact and attractive volume

on Canada in the Story of the Nations series appears in a third edition (T. Fisher Unwin. 7s. 6d. net). Mr. W. H. Ingram has added a dispassionate account of recent events up to the spring of this year, and there is a chapter by Mr. Edward Porritt on Canada's wonderful economic progress. The book is well illustrated and contains a good map.
