On the 4th March, John Paget, eldest son of the lateRev. Henry Thomas Streeten, of Lydiard House, Wilts, and Vicar of Rodbotune Cheney, in the same county ;in his 24th year. He was killed by the savages of the Andaman Islands, whilst on shore there in the active discharge of his duty as Third Officer of the H.E./.C.'s surveying brig Mullah.
On the 21st, killed at Lucknow, by a bullet in the breast, Captain Frederick Wale, commanding Wale's Horse, son of the late General Sir Charles Wale, K.C.B., 33d Regiment ; in his 25th year. On the 18th April, at his residence, near Philadelphia, United States, Joshua Garsed, Esq., late of Leeds ; in his 90th year.
On the 5th May in Park Street, Grosvenor Square, Miss Stables ; in her 92d year On the 5th, in Dublin, Barbara Hemphill, author of " Freida the Jongleur," and other novels, and relict of the late John Hemphill, Esq., of Cashel.
On the 6th, at Ilanwell, Middlesex, Mary J., wife of the Rev. J. A. Emert017, D.D., and sister of the late Sir Clement Wolseley, Baronet, of Mount Wolseley, county of Carlow.
On the 7th, in Brewer Street, Woolwich, Captain Samuel Rideout,
On the 7th, at Bournemouth, Harriet, widow of the late Right Hon. Henry Hot- house, of Hadspen ; in her 73d year.
On the 7th, in consequence of a fall from his horse the previous afternoon.Ettan, third son of John Williams, Esq., Dursley, Gloucestershire ; in his 22d year.
On the 8th, at Holloway, Isabella, relict of the late F. W. N. Bayley, Esq. ; in her 48th year. On the 9th, in Eaton Place, Mary, widow of the late Hon. Sir George Grey, Bark, K.C.B.; in her58th year.
On the 10th, in Park Street, Grosvenor Square, Ann, Lady Dalrymple, wife of Lieutenant-General Sir Adolphus John Dalrymple, Bart., and only daughter of the late Sir James Graham, Bart., of Kirkstall.
