Out of court
Sir, Mr Peto of the Stowe Political Club is "slightly alarmed" at what has happened to the image of Edward Heath.
Lots of people have thought Heath an able Minister but not a man fit by temperament and character to lead this nation. We thought so and some of us said so. But he had to prove it himself before anyone would believe us.
By his inability to take a beating he has put himself out of court with his fellow countrymen.
