' The Bank return is very favourable, but the Directors of

the Bank of England have made no change in their rates of discount this week, and the minimum quotation remains, therefore, at five per cent. The stock of bullion at the establishment is 15,976,777/., and the reserve of notes and coin 7,502,722/. The supply of bullion held by the Bank of France is 29,653,724/., or about 520,000/. less than last week.
