k memorial lighthouse is to be erected to Christopher Columbus
by the Pan-American Union on the coast of the Dominican Republic, and prizes are offered to architects
submitting designs. Full particulars are obtainable from the Director-General of the Pan-American Union at Washingtoni D.C., U.S.A. An international jury of three will select ten designs possessing the greatest merit, aad will each receive £400. The winners will then re-compete for the final reward, for which £2,000 will be paid, as well as other prizes to the total of £4,000. The whole scheme is set out in a large pamphlet obtainable from the above address.
