There used to be a game in which two teams of relay runners attempted to trans- mit the same message, which had to be whispered, through five stages — with hilariously inaccurate results. You are in- vited to supply a garbled chain of messages (six including the original). Entries (more than one encouraged) to 'Competition No. 1436' by 29 August.
