London is not yet " empty," but people are making
their holiday arrangements. And this is the time when we would again appeal to the landlords and managing committees of London squares and gardens, begging them to try to make some arrangement with the managers or care committee of the nearest elementary school, by which the children may be allowed to play under super- vision sometimes in those gardens during the August holidays, when so many of these valuable open spaces are largely unused. We print a letter on the subject in our Correspondence columns.
