recent correspondence on the above subject you may, perhaps, consider an actual ex- perience worth publishing. One of ray daughters has lately been living with me here in apartments : three rooms, with attendance, cooking, fire, lights, &a., inclusive, 12s. a week ; board (we board ourselves), lie.; total, exclusive of laundry, 23s. per week for two people. I may say that we live plainly but well ; no stint of anything. We are, of course, total uhstainers. If items are worth having, I shall be pleased to
