Complacent
Sut,—In your note "Back to Bedlam" you use the word " complaisant " exactly in the sense of "complacent." I know Americans do so; but surely you can appreciate the difference between a complaisant husband and a merely complacent one ! I do hope either that this is a mis- print or that Homer has nodded for once.—Your constant reader,
