Among the Pond People. By Clara Dillingham Pierson. (J. Murray.
5s.)—The " Pond " is an American p md, and so are some of the " People " ; the turtle that snaps, and the turtle that does not snap, for instance, are strange to us. Others, however, as the stickleback, are old friends. The book is very good reading. The " People " confabulate to excellent purpose, and we do not care whether it is natural or not that they should.
