Gold for Mike There may not be many medals to
award when this very dult general election is over. More repu- tations have been broken than made. But one top award on the Tory side is at least assured. The service to candidates coming from Conserva- tive Central Office, and especially in answer to questions and questionnaires, has always been very good indeed : this time it has been superb. It has always amazed me how swiftly the ser- vice works, even though I know exactly how it is done. Or I think I do. Gold medal for Sir Michael Fraser.
