get your facts right before writing on subjects for which you are obviously not qualified to comment. It is the techniques which British and German trawlers use which are objected to by the Icelanders. If the practice of filching the young cod from these waters is allowed to continue there will be no fish for anyone at all, which, disastrous as it would be for this country, would be much more so for Iceland. The same applies to the Continental methods of scrap-, ing the bottom of the seabed Tot' other types of fish inshore, without any idea of conservation at all. This has rendered their shores completely devoid of fish and they now have permission to fish right , up to our shores with similar intent. However, our fishermen do not intend to let this happen with or without the help of our Government. Even Scottish MPs do not suport our Government, either in their inshore or deep-sea fishing policies.
