The Daily Mail of Saturday last states that the Army

Council has approved the formation at an early date of a , Reserve to the Territorial Force, Such a Reserve, it declares, will consist of a considerable mimber of ex-Volunteers who have already expressed a wish to be enrolled in such an organisation. "In addition to these men, there are a large number of veterans of the Regular Army and of various corps formed at the time of the South African War who would be willing to be registered for service in case of emergency. Their services would be of great value in home defence, but there is at present no suitable organisation for them. The , Army Council has all these classes under consideration, and an announcement may be expected at no distant date."
