The Animal Creation. A Popular Introduction to Zoology. By T.
Rymer Jones, F.R.S. (Society for Promoting Christian Know- ledge.)—This is one of the useful manuals published by this society.
The author, who is Professor of Natural History at King's College, gives a general view of the principal families into which the animal
creation has been grouped by zoologists, and concise notices of their characteristic habits and instincts. The book is of convenient size, nicely printed and illustrated, and cheap, and will well serve the pur- pose for which it is intended.
