The Consol market has shown more firmness during the week

than for some time past. The quotations have steadily advanced, and exhibited an improvement at the close of business yesterday, as compared with Saturday last, of three-quarters per cent. On Saturday last the latest official prices were 861, I for money, and 871, 4 for account. Yesterday the closing quotation's were as follows :—For transfer, 871, ; for time, 871, 88.
